May 16, 2010 - The 9th European Deaf bowling championship is currently underway at Athens, Greece which runs from May 14 through May 22, 2010. In the men's field, 24 countries are being represented and in the women's field, 18 countries are being represented.  The tournament consists of several formats where players from Europe will bowl in singles, doubles, trios, and round robins. In the women's singles competition, Germany swept the field with a 1-2-3 finish. For the men's single's competition, Holland captured first place with Denmark coming in second place and Cyrus took third place. Today, the Russian women finished first and second in the doubles format. Tomorrow on May 16th, the men will play doubles.
