2017 WDIHCMcKinley Karpa loves the feeling of rushing up the ice and either sending a pass to a teammate or receiving a pass and seeing the puck go into a hockey net.

Add to that wearing a USA Hockey national team jersey when you’re doing this, and it’s an experience almost too unbeatable to fathom for the Ipswich High School senior.

Karpa was named as a member of the inaugural USA National Deaf Women’s Hockey Team, which competed in Buffalo, N.Y., on April 23-24.
