Former Feehan hurler Flanagan earns Easter Seals Society's Rising Star Award

RITBOSTON — Former Bishop Feehan High School pitcher Sean ‘Skip’ Flanagan, a hearing-impaired student-athlete as a Shamrock who went on to illustrious collegiate mound career at the Rochester Institute of Technology, is the 2017 recipient of the Rising Star Award, presented by the Easter Seals Society of Massachusetts.

The organization recognizes Flanagan, a native of Framingham, for his current achievements and future potential to continue changing cultural attitudes and breaking down barriers for those with disabilities. Flanagan is in his first year as the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) athlete development program coordinator.
