      Men's swim team in 1st place

      COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The Gallaudet University men’s swim team set the tone at the 2011 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) swimming and diving championships Friday on the first day of competition held at the Bouck Hall Natatorium on the campus of SUNY Cobleskill. The Bison won two of the six events and sit in first place out of five teams with 167 team points. The Gallaudet swim program will enter Day 2 with both the men’s and women’s teams in first place.       Baseball season opener postponed

      WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Gallaudet University baseball 2011 home opener slated for Sunday, February 20, at Hoy Field against Arcadia University has been postponed due to field conditions. No make-up has been announced at this time. Read full story.

      Swim team prepared for NEAC championship

      COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The Gallaudet University men’s and women’s swimming programs prepare to make their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) championship debuts this weekend at the Bouck Hall Natatorium on the campus of SUNY Cobleskill. This is Gallaudet’s first year in the NEAC after being a member of the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC). The 2011 NEAC men’s and women’s swimming and diving championships will run from Friday, February 18, until Sunday, February 20. Each day there will be a preliminary round that starts at 10 a.m. and an evening session containing the event finals for that day with a 6 p.m. start time on Friday and Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sunday.       ECFC names 5 to All-Academic team

      WHITINGHAM, Vt. - The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) announced its second annual All-Academic honorees on Thursday, and Gallaudet University earned five of the 39 total selections. Gallaudet sophomores Anthony Palmer(Unadilla, N.Y.), Denton Mallas (South Milwaukee, Wis.),Gabriel Paulone (Fishers, Ind.), Clayton Grossinger(Fredrick, Md.) and junior Caleb Hinton (Knoxville, Tenn.) met or surpassed each of the academic and athletic standards, including a minimum 3.3 grade point average.       January Bison of the Month

      WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Gallaudet University Athletics Department recently announced the two recipients of the Bison of the Month for January and both are repeat winners. Men's swimming junior Brian Bennett (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and women's basketball senior Easter Faafiti (Pittsburg, Calif.) were selected, marking the second time each has been honored this season.
