      Update on status of 2013, 2015, and 2017 Deafympics

      Fans: Thank you for all of your support toward the deaflympics events. To help draw a better picture for you all,

      A: Athens is the chosen city for 2013 Deaflympics. But no organizing committee has been formed in Greece. The government has not given its blessing for Athens to have Deaflympics event. It is still being discussed and on which direction the government will decide to take.

      B. Canada 2015: The organizing committee has folded and handed back the right to host. This means other country now can discuss with ICSD if they wish to host 2015 Deaflymics in their country.

      C. Barcelona 2017: They withdrew their bid. This may change depending on the change in their municipal government at the forthcoming elections. Until then, they are not in the running for 2017 Deaflymics bid.
