      DIBF & SPORTSMX MEDIA PARTNERSHIP

It is with the utmost pleasure that the Deaf International Basketball Federation (DIBF), is pleased to announce a long term cooperation and partnership agreement with SportsMX. They are now our official media provider. SportsMX will provide up to the minute live video streaming of games, stats and results, reports, photos, regular news updates on website, social media networks, and more.

SportsMX will be able to provide, where feasible, media coverage for such as the World and Regional basketball championships, the DIBF led events - Youth tournaments, different Regional Club championships, and DIBF International Deaf Referees clinics. Additionally media coverage for the important DIBF Basketball coaches and leaderships seminars, and International Deaf Youth Camps, et cetera.

President of DIBF Lyndon Borrow stated “On behalf of everyone at DIBF and FIBA, we are very pleased to be in the position to secure an excellent on-going media partnership with the reputable SportsMX organisation. This is a much needed service and they will provide online up to the minute news, live results and statistics of our cherished deaf basketball events around the world. Naturally the broadcasts will incorporate signing language thus eliminating communication barriers for deaf people.”

SportsMX will also serve as DIBF’s media service company with regard to an accreditation service to photographers, reporters, TV-people and other media people for all DIBF led events and World Championships.

SportsMX’s headquarters is based in Maryland, USA and is an international internet based sports news website. They report all things related to sports and active lifestyle, targeting the international deaf and hard of hearing community.

“DIBF is an organisation that is committed in raising the bar for the Deaf and hard of Hearing community in basketball. SportsMX is honoured to be partnering with DIBF. We look forward to a productive relationship with DIBF where media exposure for the athletes and teams will be greatly expanded” says Bridget Bonheyo, Founder and CEO of SportsMX.”

DIBF and SportsMX look forward to the 2011 World Deaf Basketball Championships being held in Palermo, Italy, from 16-24 September. The SportsMX Media team will be present on site for live media reports and will manage the media requirements on behalf of the World Championships Organising Committee.

DIBF and SportsMX look forward to a first-class partnership and to delivering high-quality global deaf basketball news and results to the world deaf and impaired hearing community.
