The 7th European Deaf Football Championship at Odense, Denmark is currently underway and will continue until July 9th. Twelve countries are participating in this year's tournamanent and France is the reigning champions from the 6th European Deaf Football Championships. 7th European Championship 2011 has now begun!
After to years hard work the EC has now begun. At the opening ceremony the councillor Jane Jegind and the president of EDSO welcomed the teams and spectators - and the Hans Christian Andersen Parade entertained the athletes and fans.
Denmark lost the opening match to Belgium 0-3, but Denmark is still optimistic and hopes for a place in the quarterfinals.
