CSD ADVANCES TO BCL FINALS
CSD- 14 St. Elizabeth- 3
The CSD Eagles toppled St. Elizabeth Mustangs on Tuesday with a 14-3 victory in the BCL League Semi-Finals. With this victory, the Eagles will advance to the BCL League finals today at Emery Secondary School in Emeryville. They will be taking on the number one seed, Fremont Christian Warriors.
The Eagles were able to capture their victory with the help of Carlos Lopez on the mound. He pitched 5 innings and only allowed 3 runs (by which only one run was earned). He struck out 10 Mustangs and only walked 1. He received a lot of help offensively with the Eagles getting 9 hits. Lopez, Mike Soudakoff, Shawn Benavente, and Christian Reyes all had multiple hits.
