Fremont (#3) faced Making Waves (#2) in the BCL (Bay Counties League) semifinals yesterday afternoon. The Eagles scored all of of their four runs in the fifth inning on walks by Mark Kozyk and Pedro Trejo. Luke Bella and Eric Botello put out singles.

Botello took the loss for California School for the Deaf. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing 11 runs on seven hits and striking out three.

Donovan Holmes went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Fremont in hits. Fremont stole nine bases and Holmes led the way with three.

Indiana sailed to an easy victory over Traders Point Christian 12-2.

Indiana got things moving in the first inning, when Joel Dramin singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Indiana scored five runs in the sixth inning. Indiana batters contributing to the big inning included Jerrick Pothorski and Justin Pickering, all driving in runs in the inning.

Kolton Dickerson got the win for Indiana. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out nine. Dramin threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Caleb Ott was on the mound for Traders Point Christian. He went two-thirds of an inning, allowing four runs on two hits. Sam Stanczykiewicz and Elliot Mudis entered the game as relief, throwing three and two-thirds innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Indiana tallied eight hits in the game. Jenkins and Dramin all had two hits to lead Indiana. Indiana stole 20 bases during the game as seven players stole more than one and Jenkins led the way with five.

Reese Marshall went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Traders Point Christian in hits.

Maryland watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-0 loss in the MIAC (Maryland Independent Athletic Conference) championship game to Mount Airy Christian on Tuesday.

In the second inning, Mount Airy Christian got their offense started when Blake Sheaffer singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs to take the lead for good.

Xavier Marmol was the winning pitcher for Mount Airy Christian. He allowed two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking zero.

Stefan Anderson took the loss for Maryland. He allowed seven hits and five runs over five innings, striking out four.

Miguel Pavao and Anderson each collected one hit to lead Maryland.

Peter Kelly led Mount Airy Christian with two hits in four at bats. Mount Airy Christian didn't commit a single error in the field. Austin Finch had the most chances in the field with 13.

Anderson, Pavao, and Brody McAfee were named to the MIAC All-Tournament team.

Fremont snatched the number 3 seed for the BCL (Bay Counties League) playoffs with a huge seventh inning. Fremont erupted for seven runs to break a 8-8 tie in the final game of the regular season. Gael Barajas, Eric Botello, and Jaden Reader all had two hits for Fremont. Barajas, Donovan Holmes, and Luke Bella each had a double and Reader belted a triple.

Kolton Dickerson shut down George Washington, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Indiana to a 14-0 victory.

Kyle Jenkins drove in four runs going 3-for-3 at the plate. Jenkins drove in runs on a single in the first, a triple in the second, and a single in the third.

Indiana tallied seven runs in the third inning. Ar Du Wa Hah, Jario Espinoza, Dickerson, Dramin, Jerrick Pothorski, and Jenkins each had RBIs in the big inning.

Dickerson earned the victory on the hill for Indiana. He lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out 12 and walking zero.

Indiana saw the ball well today, racking up 15 hits in the game. Dickerson and Jenkins each collected three hits to lead Indiana.
