Tennessee 50 Kentucky 13

It was KSD’s first game of two games at the Viking Classic held at Tennessee School for the Deaf. Tennessee opened the game by scoring the game’s first 16 points. KSD wasn’t able to match Tennessee’s aggressiveness and quickness. Turnovers’ hurting KSD so far this season as KSD had 21 turnovers this morning. We have to work on everything including fundamentals.

Richard Ward had seven rebounds while Miller and Howard each had a block. The team shot 2 of 7 at the charity stripe. (Contributed by Coach Leslie Stayer, Jr.)

KSD    1–-9--2--1 = 13
TSD 18-12-10-10 = 50

Halftime - Tennessee led 30-10.

KSD (0-3): Yance 3, Howard 8, Dorn 1, Vickery 1.

TSD (2-2): Davidson 2, Harris 6, Freeman 8, Williams 9, Williamson 9, Currie 8, Staggs 4, Mould 4.

South Carolina 54 Kentucky 27

KSD completed the Viking Classic by going winless. South Carolina raced to a nine-point lead after first quarter. First quarter has been a thorn to KSD so far in the early part of season. KSD needs to work on passing and rebounding. KSD had a season high 30 turnovers which limited their field goal attempts to 29.

Aaron Howard led the team with 16 points, six rebounds, and two blocks but committed 11 turnovers. John Collins had two steals and the team did not have any three pointers. (Contributed by Coach Leslie Stayer, Jr.)
