Marie Philip 3 Lexington 2

marie-philipMarie Philip - We hosted our final soccer game of the season during on our homecoming day against Lexington School for the Deaf. It was a great battle as we led 1-0 at halftime. In the second half, we were down by one goal, 2-1. We fought back to force a 2-2 tie. Dylan Christoffels had a hat trick with four minutes left in the game to help Galloping Ghosts take a 3-2 lead. Surprisingly, we defeated Lexington for the first time in MPS history.

Our senior player, Bryce Callahan will be greatly missed as he played his last game. He gave full effort during the season for the team.

The Galloping Ghosts soccer team improved greatly in October doing much better than September. We look forward for next year and we also will host the ESDAA soccer tournament. (Contributed by Head Coach Jason Cserny)
