oregonSALEM — Umpqua Valley Christian's boys soccer team defeated the Oregon School for the Deaf, 8-1, in Monday's Special District 6 game.

The Monarchs (6-2-1, 5-2-1 District 6) were up 5-0 by halftime. Koby Sewall scored the first two goals for UVC, and Isaac Salchenberg had a pair of goals and an assist in the first half.
