stmarysAcademy of Aurora 3 St. Mary's 0 (25-6, 25-12, 25-8)

Academy of Aurora obviously came to play as it was a quick three sets in their favor. The Lady Bison had a hard time getting their feet moving and just couldn’t seem to gel together. Props go out to Kioney Alvira-Juardo for earning her first dig of her career. Hopefully after the nice long weekend the girls will return rested and ready to take on their next opponents, Rochester School for the Deaf, on Tuesday. (Contributed by Head Coach Wendy Chuba)

floridaHarvest Community 3 Florida 0 (25-14, 25-12, 26-24)

I'm not sure where the girls were the first and second set. However, they pulled themselves together the third set and played the best set of the season. Unfortunately, we ran out time and we were unable to secure the win. The stats are also the best we have seen this season. If there is a time to peak, it is going into the Mason-Dixon Tournament and the District Tournament, so the girls are on the right track. This was our last game before we head to Mississippi next week for Mason-Dixon. Then, we return the following week for the District Tournament. Fingers crossed that we carry this momentum into both of those tournaments to finish out the season on a strong note. (Contributed by Head Coach Tiffany Kawohl)

floridaRiver City Science Academy 3 Florida 2 (17-25, 17-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-12)

This was the first game that we started off strong and played well from the get go. However, we weren't able to hang on to that momentum and finish off the match in the third set. We definitely were deserving of the win, but gave away the third, fourth, and fifth set. River City changed their strategy and we weren't able to adapt. This is yet another weakness of a young team. It was a valuable learning experience and something that we will work on during practice on Thursday (Contributed by Head Coach Tiffany Kawohl)
