Prep Volleyball Roundup - October 11

Tuesday, October 10, 2017

rochesterRochester 3 St Mary's 0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-10)

We decided to go back to using the 5-1 rotation after trying to use 4-2 rotation in the last three games. The Wildcats were 1-2 at the SpikeOut tournament using the 4-2 rotation. We realized that 5-1 rotation is a better way for us to play and some position adjustments were also made. The changes were positive as we swept St. Mary’s in three sets. We were missing our senior setter, so some changes had to be made. The girls adjusted well, but our Tartar spirit just wasn’t there. Rina Manssora was back playing and made some crucial decisions. We beat our serving record in the third set with 92%. When the Tartars are hard on themselves the girls make more mistakes, especially while receiving. Addison Blair is becoming a fast setter and saving a lot of poor passes. She shined tonight getting three kills, two assists, two aces, serving at 90%, and received a whopping 25 serves at 76%. Wendy Chicky was attacking and serving at 100% today. (Contributed by Head Coach Lindsay Lantagne)
