      NDIAA announces National Champions for 2011 fall season

      Greetings, 

      NDIAC is thrilled to announce the results of our 5th annual Fall Sports Selections: National Champions, Player of the Year and Coach of the Year below. The committee spent many hours on the selection process on each sport. The time invested was well worth it, for our excellent Deaf schools and fine athletes deserve to be recognized for their hard work, dedication, and achievements. NDIAA's All American per sport lists will be announced next week. 

      Football 
      11-man 
      National Champions: Maryland School of the Deaf 
      Co-Coach of the Year: Kevin Bella - California School for the Deaf, 
      Fremont, and Johnny Samuels - Florida School for the Deaf and Blind 
      Player of the Year: Demetric Snider - Alabama School for the Deaf 

      8-man 
      National Champions: Wisconsin School of the Deaf 
      Coach of the Year: Dick Henley – Tennessee School for the Deaf 
      Co-Player of the Year: Taylor Koss– Wisconsin School for the Deaf, and, 
      Colin Larkins - Oklahoma School for the Deaf 

      Volleyball 
      Div 1 
      Team of the Year: Indiana School for the Deaf 
      Coach of the Year: Aimee Bippus, Indiana School for the Deaf 
      Player of the Year: Kate Fetzer, Indiana School for the Deaf 

      Div 2 
      National Champions: Minnesota State Academy of the Deaf 
      Coach of the Year: Heather Mooney – Rochester School for the Deaf 
      Player of the Year: Marissa Woodruff - Rochester School for the Deaf 

      Soccer 
      National Champions: Lexington School of the Deaf 
      Coach of the Year: Mary Cook, Rochester School for the Deaf 
      Player of the Year: Ken Gentzke, Rochester School for the Deaf 

      The committee would like to thank the Athletic Directors and coaches for their utmost commitment to their athletes’ development, character and talent. The responses to the nomination forms this year has been overwhelming. We also have to recognize everyone as a winner on and off the field. 

      Congratulations on the accomplishments and with that, we forward to the upcoming winter season.
