We only have one senior on this team - Elissa Letendre. While this team may be young, but I see they will improve a lot and will play their hardest at every game until its over, regardless of the result. The motto of the team remains as it is –
Persistence.

Key Players: Auna Ferguson, Johanna Scherling, and Lauren Wellman
Last year's win-loss record:
Outlook for this year: We will have a small team with only 7 or 8 girls participating, that will not interfere with the girls that are on the team.  We are still strong in all areas and they can only grow from last seasons great year.

Texas School for the Deaf Girls
Name of Coach: Brian Sipek
# of Returning Starters: 4
Key Players: Each player has an equally important role on this team. We don't have one key player.
Last year's win-loss record: 10-19
Outlook for this year: Our team is loaded with a number of young talent.  We have incoming freshmen players who will be looking to make some big contributions on the team this year.  Our returning veterans will bring the much needed experience to the court.  The coaches are looking forward to working with a great group of girls this year.

Last year win-loss record: 15-6
Outlook for this year: Last year’s leading scorer and record-breaking steals leader, Cindy Siebert is bringing her skills to Gallaudet this year.  The returning key players from last year along with new young players will have to stepup this year to make it up for Cindy’s leadership, scoring and defense.  Our team will be based on our defense and our ability to play to the fullest in each game.  Our goal for this year as a defending GPSD champion is to be competitive, have fun during the season and also win the GPSD tournament at our home gym.

Outlook for this year: With a talented and smart group of players, I expect us to go beyond playing to win games and contending on a national level of deaf schools, but to really have our players learn the game of basketball on a much deeper and intricate level that would prepare them to play basketball on higher levels. Expect freshmen Tessa Lewis and Emily DeSimone and junior Rebecca Washington to be a strong supporting cast to Augusta Seremeth and Tarja Lewis this season.

Illinois School for the Deaf Girls

Name of Coach: Jessica Creech
# of Returning Starters: 4
Key Players: 3
Last year's win-loss record: 10-6
Outlook for this year: I know that we are young. We are enjoying the development of the team. I am really excited about this team, but there are a lot of new pieces and having never seen them play together. We must prepare, learn, and work harder than our opponents. The biggest difference between where we were last year at this time and where we are this year is leadership. Our Lady Hornets have taken it upon themselves to establish attention to detail within our program. The Lady Hornets are improving at a much higher pace due to the veterans on this team. The best part about this team is our depth, versatility, and speed. We will be a fun and exciting team to watch! Leadership is a matter of having people look at you and gain confidence, seeing how you react. If you're in control, they're in control. You will see a more fast-paced style of play.

Outlook for this year: We lost two top players on our team with Chelsea Elstad and Allison O’Hara. This year’s team is very young with only one senior. We have many players who are in their sophomore and junior years but several freshmen as well. This year we are trying to mold a team and continue working hard for the future.
